i don't teach. i don't preach. nope. not anymore. i'm not qualified. i didn't finish school. i didn't take the boards. i don't have the letters behind my name.

even if i did, though, i don't think people would listen to me. people will do what they do, live as they always have. make their excuses for why they don't do the things they know they should.

right now, i will simply repeat what i've been told by a research scientist that came into the shop who was attending a conference a few months ago. the conference was on cancer research. i talked to many of them and most were working for some pharmaceutical company looking for "cures".

this one scientist, however, understood where i was coming from and gave me the best answer he had. it has changed my habits to some extent.

here goes:

-green tea
-cocoa powder
-berries (blueberries, especially)
-balanced diet, high in FRESH fruits and veggies (green, leafy ones, especially)
-moderate exercise
-low stress
-adequate rest

that's it.

green tea, he said, had its own research WING at his facility. they were studying WHY it did what it did (most likely, so they could isolate it and turn it into a drug). he told me that when applied directly, it inhibited and almost ATTACKED cancerous cells. it actually shrinks tumors.

he went on and on about chocolate. called it "powerful". and then said, "if there were only a way to remove the fat and sugar from it..." um... yea, it's called "cocoa powder". you can find it at ANY grocery store.

so...

no less than three times a week, i drink two large glasses at a time of this:

half a bag of frozen mixed berries
two cups of yogurt
two tablespoons of orange juice concentrate
one tablespoon cocoa powder
one tablespoon flax/borage/evening primrose oil blend
one banana (optional)

in a blender, with water, until smooth.

i drink a large pot of green and yerba mate teas every day, sweetened with xylitol.

i do other things, as well, but i'm not going off into that.

i watched my grandmother die painfully of cancer. my aunt (who i adore) is battling breast cancer right now. she just had both of them removed completely. a friend is getting tested for cancer now.

nothing is more important than your health.

nothing.

that's all i'm saying on this. you do whatever you want now.
